Start your first route
1. Meet a trader
Fourteen regular traders have separate reputation, shops, five shipments and five hunting contracts each. Legendary Mieteg travels between sites.
2. Choose a job
Hunting contracts are free. A shipment costs 10 coins and must go to another trader. Each issuer allows two active contracts and two active shipments.
3. Build trust
A completed contract gives +2 issuer reputation and +2 levels in its named skill. Cargo builds reputation with its sender. Reach 64 points for a one-time L5 gift.
What is included
The interactive catalog contains 179 shop offers, 79 contracts, 70 cargo types, 910 regular delivery routes, 26 scrolls and wards, and profiles for all 15 traders. Filters work without a connection.
Prices apply to the displayed bundle. A shop offer needs its stated reputation level and any biome progression requirement. All it console commands are administrator-only; ordinary trading does not require them.
Trader shops
Reputation unlocks offers; personal boss progression still gates later-biome traders. Enhancement scrolls and wards have a separate three-day purchase cooldown per item and trader.
Hunting contracts
Take the physical contract, carry it while hunting and return to its issuing trader. Each completed contract grants +2 levels in its specified skill and +2 reputation. A skill already at its cap of 100 blocks that skill reward and turn-in.
Ordinary kill targets round up after reputation scaling. Fixed and composite targets do not shrink. The required count is locked when the contract is issued.
Legendary hunts
Mieteg offers nine contracts. Their extra valuables may be paid as silver necklaces, rubies and amber pearls, with any remainder in coins. The listed coin value is the total value, not a promise of that many coin items. A Hildir-dungeon boss contract is available only while an eligible undefeated boss remains in the world.
Amber pearls are part of these valuables, separate from the Pearl-Bearing Shell used for navigation.
Shipments and route rewards
Each shipment costs 10 coins, weighs 15–35 kg, cannot pass through portals, and cannot be delivered to its sender. The recipient pays the item reward; reputation goes to the sender. Keep at least one empty inventory slot before turning in any shipment.
The calculator assumes the recipient’s biome reward tier is unlocked. Distance is horizontal, from cargo purchase to delivery; walking in circles does not increase it. Midpoint rounding uses the nearest even integer.
Reward multipliers
Biome tier gap0 → ×1; 1 → ×1.25; 2 → ×1.5; 3 → ×1.75; 4 or more → ×2.
DistanceUnder 1,000 m → ×1
1,000–1,999 m → ×1.3
2,000–2,999 m → ×1.6
3,000–3,999 m → ×1.9
4,000–7,499 m → ×2.2
7,500 m or more → ×2.5
When the recipient’s reward tier is locked
The game selects a valid reward route from the highest available regular-trader biome, excluding the sender. Access to a trader through a command does not bypass personal boss progression for a higher-tier payout.
Legendary Mieteg’s cargo payout
Mieteg accepts a valid shipment from any regular sender and pays a fixed three-route bundle, not a random reward and not every possible route. For cargo from trader A, the bundle is the other trader in A’s biome plus both traders in the next biome. For Ashlands, it is both Plains traders plus the other Ashlands trader’s reward at double quantity. Each part uses its own biome multiplier and the distance to Mieteg.
Duplicate item types in the three routes are combined into one payout stack calculation. A successful delivery gives +10 sender reputation and +4 Mieteg reputation. Leave enough empty inventory slots for the entire bundle before handing over the cargo.
Trust gifts · L5
At 64 reputation points, open that trader’s shop to claim the one-time gift. It is recorded per character, world and trader. If the inventory is full, make room and return; the gift is not forfeited.
Each of the 14 regular traders gives one Scroll of Rested plus one random enhancement scroll. The random draw excludes Rested, It ain't funny, the trader’s own L5 scroll and all wards. The cards below show extra items.
Mieteg has legendary contract and cargo rewards but no regular-trader L5 gift.
Limits and restrictions
One Valheim day is normally 30 minutes of world time: seven days are 210 minutes if time runs continuously. Sleeping advances world time. Cooldowns survive logout and server restart.
Ownership: The buyer always owns the physical contract or cargo. Another player cannot pick it up from the ground, a corpse or a chest, including with “Take All”; only the owner can advance or redeem it. Nearby party members can each gain progress on their own eligible contract from the same kill. Two copies of the same contract do not gain two counts from one kill; different contracts targeting the same creature can each progress.
Loss and cancellation: Dropping an item or storing it does not free its active slot. To cancel, visit its issuing trader’s board, choose the active shipment or contract and confirm. Cancellation frees the slot, does not refund the price, does not reset the seven-day cooldown, and permanently invalidates the order ID. A later-recovered item cannot earn a reward. Dropped contracts expire after seven game days.
Turn-in: Keep at least one empty inventory slot before handing over cargo or a contract. Large Mieteg bundles may require more. A refused turn-in keeps the item and progress.
Reputation
Each trader has separate reputation per character and world. A regular delivery awards 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 sender points for a biome tier gap of 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 / at least 4. A contract awards 2 issuer points. Buying shop goods alone does not award reputation.
Biome access
Access follows personal boss progression. Being teleported to a trader or granted temporary access does not unlock a higher-biome reward tier.
Mieteg has no biome access gate, but his shop still uses his own reputation levels. A qualifying boss kill and a qualifying contract kill can credit players within approximately 100 m, even without the final hit.
All it console commands
Every it command, including help and read-only commands, requires Valheim server administrator status (or host status). On a dedicated server the server itself checks adminlist.txt; your ID works with or without the Steam_ prefix. Enter commands in the F5 console. Normal shops, boards, caravans and deliveries use in-world interaction and do not need commands.
Use the trader’s internal ID in commands. Tyrron uses cmok; Bjarki Goldtooth uses bjarki_goldtooth.
