PURPOSE:

This tool makes icons for Ruleset5E based on a priority list of how to generate the icon. For example, icons can be generated based on the specific entry name but can fall back to icons based on type if an icon with the specifi name is not available.

USAGE:

1. Unzip the file to a working folder.
2. Start a command prompt in the extracted folder.
3. Place your dnd5e files in the dnd5e sub-folder (I tossed in the Monsters for testing)
4. Place your source icons in the icons_src sub-folder (I tossed in the Monsters icons for testing plus the _fallback_.png file)
5. Execute:

     Ruleset5ePlugin_IconTool.exe

or something like:

     Ruleset5ePlugin_IconTool.exe Icon,Name,Category,Type,Range

This will create a complete set of icons in the icons folder finding a matching icon in the icons_src folder or using the _fallback_.png as a last resort. The optional parameters is a list indicating the order of the prefer source used to create the icons. The default is Icon,Name,Category,Type,Range which means it will first check to see if there is a icon matching the futureUse_Icon value (if set), if not set or the icon does not exist, it will try using the name, if that fails, it will use the category (which is Attack, AttackDC, Save, Skill, etc), if that fails it will try to use the type, and if that fails it will use the range. If all of those fail it uses the contents of _fallback_.png. You can swap the order of the parameters or even remove some to specify how the icons should be generated. For example, if the command-line parameter is only Category then it will generate generic icons. To be able to do custom icons with a fallback to generic use some sequence that includes Icon,Category or Icon,Name,Category since that will try to find the custom specific icons but try the generic (Category) if the specific ones (Icon,Name) fail.

RULESET 5E PLUGIN USAGE:

1. Ensure that the "Use General Icons" setting, in the Ruleset5EPlugin config, is set to "false".
2. Copy the resulting icons in the "icons" folder to a File Access Plugin legal location.
3. Start Talespire and enjoy!
